Icenhancer trouble

Featured Replies

I just downloaded icenhancer and after I installed the files to where they go, I went to start it up (always running it as admin) but this error came up:

LaunchGTAIV.exe - System Error

The program can't start because d3dx9_43.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix the problem.

I know I put the files where they belong and everything. I just don't know what do to next to try an repair it. BTW I'm running the latest version of GTAIV, 1.0.7.0, I think is what the version is, I know its up to date though.

EDIT: The game starts up after the error message but once it opens and loads up, it looks like the snow thing you get on a teley when there isn't a channel. This is what I get...

Thanks in advance!

Sounds like the icenhancer is trying to load a .dll that isn't in your GTA folder. That file comes with many ENB's but it looks as though you're missing it (or you don't need it, but it thinks you do). Did you double check to ensure that the ini file is set properly and that you didn't skip over the file?

I opened up the 2.1 folder, Ctrl+A to copy everything into the directory and then did the same for the files that didn't go into the directory i.e. the subfolders; common, data, pc. Those folders.

EDIT: Iconography, I was looking over the files again and the stock files on my desktop and there isn't even a file called d3dx9_43.dll on either one, my desktop and the icenhancer folder...da fuq?!

This may sound strange but if you have the DX3 thing delete it.... Also when you get that sometimes that happens during different kind of weather. In some when it s extra sunny it will do that. If deleting it doesn't work try using a different icehancer file for that.....
