I saw this video that had lights on the inside of the trunk of the car. So if you use like SNT to open your trunk, there are lights in it! I think that would be cool.

skip to 1:37 if you don't want to watch it all.

If one was to make a non-ELS vehicle this way, adding a lightbar with directionals mapped to it would be a cool idea so when stopped you could pop the trunk and then use your parking lights or hazards to make an on-demand traffic advisor. I have no idea if it's possible or not but it sounds cool.

Ya I don't know if it's possible ether. I have no experience in modeling.

You can map ELS lights to any part of the vehicle, right?

Just map them to the inner area of the trunk, and when you open the trunk with SNT, you'll be able to see them.

It shouldn't be too hard, but I've never created a vehicle.

It may be possible with non-ELS also, as long as you can map them in that area, without taking up a lot of resources for other possible lighting areas.

Try it, and if it doesn't work, you can say you tried. I'm sure it's possible.

No because ELS reloads the model over and over, meaning as soon as you pop the trunk, it will close immediately. The same as with the doors. They have "Flapping" syndrome.
