So recently I installed stop the ped script and there is an issue with it. When I go on duty it says stop the ped is activated but when I try to double click "E" on a ped, nothing happens it acts like a normal lspdfr. The logs show nothing wrong with it: https://hastebin.com/asinepujat.cs
Any ideas why is this happening?

First, let's try and reload the plugin when you go on duty. So after you choose an agency and car and start patrol, open the console and type "reloadplugin" and select the stopped one. Let me know what happens.

You don't even have stop the ped Installed.............

Make sure you've put it inside the \plugins\LSPDFR folder instead of \plugins.

I already did

Make sure you double click "E" in third person instead of first person during the initial contact, it sometimes doesn't work in first person until you got the menu initiated on the ped. Then switch back to first person and it will work for the ped until the ped disappears. Repeat the step for other peds.

I am aware about that. I'll try to re-launch my game and do this and see if it works

My keyboard only has English, the plugin used to work before though

Do you have the req. for Stop the ped installed? and do you have any conflicting ped plugins for lspdfr?

So, after looking over the settings, I would keep the keybindings it comes with. Like Yoshe said, it may be a conflicting ped mod that is causing this issue. For instance, Arrest Manager has a search ped feature as part of it, so if you have that it may cause conflict, however I am not too sure.

To be honest, I wouldn't even use stop the ped, I would just use arrest manager if you already have it.

On what basis are you suggesting this?  STP and AM are different mods that share one or two features, but on its own, STS is arguably a must have mod which makes stopping peds that much easier and convenient.

It is mainly just personal preference. There is no real reason. In my personal opinion, I find STP to be an extra step not really needed. But it is their call if they want to use it or not. I thought maybe the few features they shared were causing it, but I am clearly wrong. Guess I have learned something today.

a full RPH log is required in order to see what happened during loading.

it might be some corrupted xml files (from STP or Search warrant or Police search) which makes STP crashes in the xml file loading process.

 

inability to stop the ped by double pressing E key is an indicator that STP is not present or crashed in the background....
