LSPDFR GTA 5 running smooth suggestions.

Recommended Posts

Hi I was wondering if anyone could give me an easy way or link help me to improve the smoothness of the game while running it. It seems a bit laggy and not smooth at times. I have a very decent pc and I think it should be able to run fine. I have an alienware -i-7 16gb memory with 256 gb ssd with a 2 tb HD. GTX 1070. I've messed with frame rates graphic setting, resolution, I can't find a solution to make it run to the smoothest setting. Can anyone help?

Thanks

Andy

Hi,

The key for smooth experience (steady 60fps) with my RIG is :

  • Fully disable MSAA (I was running at 4x, steady 60fps in the base game but had lot of fps drops in pursuit with lspdfr)
    • Do not try at 2x, you'll have the same problem with lspdfr and a ugly looking game
  • Use Nvidia DSR as AA.
    • I play in 2715x1527 to have a clean looking game and steady 60fps.
      • I know this definition is a little bit "bastard", but it's really nice looking.
      • Playing in 1440p is not as good as MSAA4x so I pushed it further. Do not push too far or you'll drop fps.
    • I'm using 22% smooth factor to avoid blurry game
  • Always use Vsync to avoid stutter.

As we have similar rig, you should try 🙂 Hope your 1070 will perform as good as mine !

i7 7700K +16Gb DDR4 + GTX 1070 for me.

Oh well 🙂

Did you updated Nvidia drivers ?

You are on a laptop, so, sometimes, not using the driver provided by the laptop manufacturer can cause problems like this because you have two graphic cards inside.

The Intel one, and the Nvidia One. And the manufacturer driver know how to switch from one to the other.

You should look for drivers update for GPU/motherboard(all the Intel ones) on your laptop manufacturer website 😉

And maybe after that, update the Nvidia driver again and see.

Thanks you, pumpkin. I talked to someone today a friend who's in IT.... I found out I was not plugged in to the correct port the whole time..... I was not even going off of GTX graphics.... Now it's fricken clear as f ***. So I'm glad everything is working good now.
