Texture Loss

Featured Replies

Hi,

Can someone please help me with texture loss issues? I get them after 30 – 40 mins of playing. I have the following in my mod folder:

-         (replaced) emergency vehicles ONLY (except RIOT, RCV, BUZZARD, MAVERICK, FIRETRUK, TOWTRUCK)

-        Modded NOOSE SWAT, FIB, and IAA peds

-        LA ROADS

-        VisualV

-        Gameconfig by dipliated

-        CityLights (https://www.gta5-mods.com/maps/citylights-v1-visualparadox)

-        Baka's Weapons Sounds [REMASTERED] 2.3

-        Modded siren audio and Crown Vic Engine sound mod

My specs are i7-7700HQ, Nvidia 1050 Ti 4GB, 256 GB SD, and 8 GB RAM. It was not happening before, but I cannot remember when it started. My graphics settings are set to Very High/Ultra and VRAM Usage is at 2GB out of 4GB. With my specs, I find it rather strange that I should experience texture losses so I believe it is perhaps it is something in the mods folder or my LSPDFR plugins.

I replaced my emergency cars with lower poly vehicles which seemed to have helped a bit, but not completely. I also put the GTA5.exe process to high priority but did not help.

I can also list some of the LSPDFR plugins and the exact vehicle packs I have if someone is willing to go the distance and help me solve the problem.

Just a note that I have been playing for over years now with no texture loss, but I replaced or added some plugins which may have caused the issue. If someone had a similar experience and figured out what potential mods or plugins may cause it, please feel free to share as it may benefit others besides me.

Thank you so much.

This sounds like an issue with too many high quality textures. The GTA engine is only able to handle a certain amount of high quality textures, no matter your computer's specs. I recommend removing LA Roads & City Lights from your dlclist.xml and see if that helps.

Thanks, will give that shot.
