Using the API with C++?

I know the API is meant for C# and all of the tutorials I could find were about the API with C#. Is there any way I could use the API for developing plugins with C++, and if so, how?

I know C++ and C# are very similar, just IMO I prefer C++.

You won't be able to use the API with normal C++, but you might be able to with C++-/CLI. I've not used or tested this, however.
