Video Memory Problem

Featured Replies

Hello!

I've been having an issue where I lose textures after an hour or so of play. I know it's a video memory problem but I was wondering if there's any way to force GTA V to use more VRam? I have a GTX 1060 with 6gb DDR5 memory but the game only uses half and I still end up losing textures, especially after a long pursuit with many units involved.

My PC isn't the greatest and yes, I do have vehicle addons  and mods installed, but it should be more than enough to run what I have... Seems to be even worst when I install visual mods like Redux or Make Visuals Great Again.

GPU: GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
CPU: AMD FX(tm)-8350 Eight-Core Processor

Memory: 16 GB RAM (16 GB RAM usable)

Current resolution: 1920 x 1080, 60Hz

Operating system: Microsoft Windows 10 Home

Here's what I mean... at first it's only the yellow line that goes blurry, then the surrounding dirt and grass become choppy, and at the end I start losing road segments and AI traffic stops spawning(you actually see the headlights vanish at a distance when I get closer). Note that I don't have any AI traffic mods or addons, the only addon cars I have a police that only spawn when I ask for backup, no ambiant driving.

Yes, I've tried lowering the graphics settings, it does help take longer until I start losing the textures, but it still happens. Only thing I haven't tried yet (just thought of it right now actually) is loweing the resolution... but on a 50 inch monitor, any less than what I have will look horrible...

How do you adjust that setting? Sorry, not very familiar with adjustments like that.

Yeah i've done that, helps a little, takes longer before I lose textures, but the main thing i'm looking for is the force GTA V to use all of the available VRam...
