Usually it means corrupt game data, so I'd start by disabling your mods folder to see if it works.

When I remove x.64e, my game works normally.

  1. For the standalone, Rockstar Warehouse version:
    1. Hit "Start", "Run", and type "cmd" without the quotes. Hit enter.
    2. Type "cd c:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto V" without the quotes in the cmd window that pops up. Hit enter.
      • Note: If you’ve installed the game to a different directory, enter that directory instead.
    3. Type "GTAVLauncher.exe -verify" in this window (no quotes again) and hit enter.
  2. For the Steam version:
    1. Right click the game in the “Library” tab.
    2. Click “Properties”.
    3. Click the “Local Files” tab.
    4. Click “Verify integrity of game cache…”
  3. Your computer will check all your files, this can take a while. After that, it must be solved. (it will recover corrupted files)

Thanks for the reply, I already tried this though with no avail.

You must've installed something to x64e that doesn't work.

I recently installed new BCSO vehicles, I will try switching them out though. It's hard to believe that vehicles would cause corrupted files like this.

I am having that issue as well and I have only replaced cars recently. I have a backup copy of the game and when I receive this message I delete the current version of the game, then copy my backup, and it plays. Prior to the crash issues I temporarily installed each of the vehicles to set up their ELS VCF's and didn't have an issue when I started the game. After I have the VCF set up and place them in the spots where I want to use them it crashes. Is there any way to find the issue without having to delete the whole GTA V folder?

If you have a mods folder, just remove parts there so you don't have to delete your entire game.

So, it is always a mods folder issue? If my cars are also installed in patchday 17 (I'm using the previous version of the game, so that's my latest patchday), do I need to delete it also?

My backup copy is working fine so far, and I've added the cars I wanted but removed some unnecessary files like an ELS coroner van, etc to decrease the folder sizes.

I install all of my mods in my mods folder, everyone should.

I tried that, but it wouldn't overwrite the vanilla cars
