TV freezes when PC is connected/games are played

Featured Replies

I have a Samsung Smart TV. Sometimes I connect my PC to it with Bluetooth or HDMI. Everything usually works fine. However, whenever I attempt to play a game with this setup, the TV screen will show the game for a bit, then just freeze, but my PC will continue functioning/showing the game. I like using my TV because the screen is a good 4x the size of my computer screen.

What can I do to resolve this?

(please don't say "just don't use the TV" as your solution, thank you.)

I don't understand the point of signatures on this site. What the fuck is the point?

Maybe its overheating? Have you cleaned it out? I think the vents might be blocked up with dust.

Here is what I got off a thread about this:

I'm sorry to hear this.
Please refer to our website here to make sure that the unit has the latest version of firmware: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/UN60ES8000FXZA

If the unit is completely up to date, make sure that the unit has plenty of ventilation around the sides and the back of the unit.

If it continues you can also try to reset the television: http://support-us.samsung.com/cyber/popup/iframe/pop_troubleshooting_fr.jsp?idx=427141&modelname=UN55ES8000F&modelcode=UN55ES8000FXZA

If it continues after performing all the steps above the unit may require service. Here’s the thread where you can get details on setting that up: http://forums.cnet.com/7723-13973_102-542437/service-issues-click-here-for-help/
