Getting into FiveM

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, I want to look into joining a FiveM community but have no idea how any of it works. Do I have to uninstall my current mods that may interfere with it or does it run separately similar to RPH? How do I log into the server of whichever community I join? I guess I just need some general information about it before I decide I want to download it, anything helps.

Thanks

It really depends on the community. FiveM requires a 2nd CLEAN V directory (can be named something like Grand Theft Auto V MP) but it uses a separate location for 'mods' per say such as an ENB or different metas. The community you join should give you a server IP to join after you get accepted ect. Feel free to PM me or add me on discord if you want some more help/info.

How do I create a second directory? is it as simple as literally finding my original and just copy and pasting? I just don't want to screw anything up lol. Thanks for the help

Just take your modded GTA V folder, copy and paste it to a place and call it " GTA V LSPDFR Offline Modded " , then go into steam and re-download GTA V and have that clean new install used for the FiveM server. When you feel like hopping off FiveM, you just drag the GTA V folder out , and move your GTA V LSPDFR Offline Modded one in its place. Just assure you do not go online with rage plugins or addons. I don't think it will let you online but in some cases it can result in a ban.
