as most of us already realized there is no starting GTA V trough ragehook at the moment without the updated scripthook v.

 

I avoided the update all together the last few days by unplugging my internetconnection but this morning there was no way to get the game started and i decided to go ahead and run the damn rockstar update because RH was already updated but I missed the SH V part .....

 

Now LSPDFR will not start ......

 

Now is there any way to get lspdfr started without scripthookV .....

 

If so what  would I need to do ? I got all kinds of callout packages, policesmart radio, lspdfr+ and so on installed ......

SHV is not required for LSPDFR - albeit you will lose some functions such as ELS. You will have to wait as with the rest of the community for an SHV update to come.

bugger .... most of the stuff i could have lived without for the time being  but even els ..... that's bad news.

 

so we all have to sit and wait that SHV is coming out - but what would I need to do to get LSPDFR up and running for the time being? I just removed the scripthookV and scripthookVdotnet and now the game loads to a point where it gets into an infinite loop ...... in the lower right hand corner it says " loading story mode with rage plugin hook " with a rotating loading thing and in the center ist says loaded plugin eup menue and lspdfr but it keeps loading and loading

Now I got the game to boot after I removed the els folder and marked the  mods folder with an _ but now are even the normal police and fbi slots are back to basic again ......

same with me overhere. i removed Scripthook but game crashes..

 

i'll just wait for the update. dont want to fack it all up again.

Infinite loading is caused by not updating your update.rpf directory. Essentially you have to delete your mods folder and create a new one this has to be done every time rock star pushes an update unfortunately.

yea I'm getting the same issues. but when I fully update the game and just put lspdfr mod in and latest RPH .62 in the mod runs fine but when I revert the game back to v1290 or even v1180 the game on startup states grand theft auto isn't working.

Deleting the entire mods folder isn't always necessary.  Most of the time all you need to do is update the update.rpf in the mods folder.  In some cases, depending on the edits and mods someone has within the mods folder, it might require remaking the mods folder.

I'm aware of this, hence why I said "essentially", most people don't understand how to update just the update.rpf file. It's simpler to tell them to just delelee the mods folder and create a new one.

can you just rever back or not any more ??????

as far as I know you are able to revert back "if" you got three prerequisites fulfilled

 

- backup of the update folder prior to the actual update

- backup of the GTA5.exe prior to the actual update

- backup of the GTAVLauncher.exe prior to the actual update

 

Furthermore you have to set a rule within your firewall to prevent calling home for a update

 

I would have been able to do so If I did not had a corrupt version of the GTA5.exe because I backed up the update folder but now there is nothing I can do about it as sit and wait for the scripthook update.

Delete it from your mods folder, then go back into the vanilla update.rpf and do the same thing you did the first time to put it in the mods folder.
