My GTA V just updated yesterday and I suspected that it updated the game version into a different one than previous. Now my script hook V won't run and it doesn't detect the current game version. I was wondering if I can do anything about it or should I just wait for an updated Script Hook V version that would suit my current GTA V game version?

Sadly I think we have no choice but to wait for a Script Hook update, as I'm having the same problem after a relatively fresh install and the proper updated version of Ragehook.

 

 

I reinstalled LSPDFR and a ton of script mods for the first time in a long time Yesterday before Rockstar dropped their update. Ragehook's first time start up instructions gave me the option to backup my game version and I pressed no because I was excited to play.

 

Woke up this morning, booted the PC and steam with the intention of backing up my game version and then playing...only to see to my horror that GTA V began auto updating...(Another step I had missed was switching GTA V to ask for updates!!! >.< )

 

So yeah, painful lessons learned here, left with no choice but to hope Script Hook V updates to the current game patch. No idea on how long that will take. I was shocked at how fast Ragehook was updated, so here's hoping the wait won't be long...

As with every single GTA update, mods such as ScriptHookV will break, and no, there's nothing that can be done.  Just keep an eye on the ScriptHookV website for an update.
