Can we remove that 4mb limit on gallery images? Most of my images wont even fit in the description, not even one of them. The entire purpose of the gallery is to post images, and limiting it to the thumbnail image honestly is just so dumb especially since you guys raised the storage size for all of us. It's basically just asking for gallery spam or terrible and compressed images, can we just go back to how it was, what was wrong with that, or just raise the limit to like 20mb so at least we can fit in 3 or 4 other pictures.

To be fair, the entire point of the gallery is that all the images are uploaded to the albums.

It's not really designed for other images being in the description (this especially shows on mobile!).

 

We'll soon be getting rid of the gallery restrictions, allowing you to upload to your gallery as much as you want. The limitation of 5 photos on the homepage will be enforced by technical means.

However, we're currently on a feature freeze internally until the next version of the board software we use (IPS) is released, 4.3. Once this is released, we'll be working on this feature.

 

I've decided to post here to avoid making a new topic, since it would be pointless, and it relates to the topic at discussion here. Because the post is only a month old and only a few topics are above it, I don't feel like it's obtrusive to post here.

 

Has the image system been changed? In the last day or two I've noticed very few images load, whether it's in the gallery, in a topic, or in the downloads. It makes it extremely difficult to see what I'm downloading or what's being discussed, because almost all of the images look like those little blue and green squares. I often have to refresh several times and hope that the images will load.
