Turning ELS lights on/off

Featured Replies

When trying to turn my ELS lights on or off I have to press the assigned key(s) several times before anything happens. Rarely one press will be enough. I have tried disabling the simple native trainer hot-keys and disabling the trainer altogether neither of which make any difference. I have an ENB installed.

Any ideas on fixing this?

Its happened to me in the past, I assigned my F8 - F12 keys to use with ELS. SNT seemed to interfere with my ELS and I ended up pressing the keys a million times until it eventually came on, the changes only took place after restarting my PC for some strange reason though.

try re assigning the keys...i use 7 8 9 on the num row for lights

Dumb question but in the ini file how do u assign it is it just kes 7, 8, 9 or do u have to put num in front of it It sounded like a good idea

duh im stupid im guessing the codes at the bottom will do that

// 096 Numpad 0

// 097 Numpad 1

// 098 Numpad 2

// 099 Numpad 3

// 100 Numpad 4

// 101 Numpad 5

// 102 Numpad 6

// 103 Numpad 7

// 104 Numpad 8

// 105 Numpad 9

For my ELS I just have the default keys for the lights, when I press J to turn the lights off, the siren also turns off. I have found, though, that the G key to cycle through the sirens doesn't affect the traffic moving out of your way, but I know that it's supposed to be like that and it's no biggie. As for assigning the key, I'm not 100% sure but I think that you do have to add num infront of the number, so it would be NUM 7, I think.

At the bottom of the ELS ini file there is a list of keys and the corresponding code you use to assign keys and there are code for num pad keys I figured it out once my brain started working, I'm still half asleep

Half asleep?! LOL IA, that's Iowa, so I'm guessing that you're about 3 hours behind me in time right? There is no way to bind the ELS sys. to a controller? Like an xbox or PS3 controller?

Unless you get a program like xpadder to bind the button on the controller to a keyboard button heck if I can do it heck any one can.

Thanks for the help guys, re-assigning the keys has worked. I was using 1, 3, 4, 5, 8 and they were all doing the same thing.
