Hello, 

 

I am looking to make a vehicle texture that is color customizable in game to make two vehicles I currently use able to be undercover rather than skinned. 

I am new to making textures as you can tell and I am trying to make supposedly the easiest one of them all, a texture that in game will allow me to make the vehicle any color. I know it does not take a complex program but I am not sure how to export it into a edit-ready format, which program to use (paint I assume), nor do I know how to make it the proper sizing, i.e. 4096x4096.

Just make the default skin or the template fully transparent. It's easy in Photoshop but I don't know how to do it in Paint. 

I bought photoshop now, how do I do it once I have the texture imported?
