Gang members acting like suicidal terrorists

Hi, I like patrolling the southern part of the city with the ghettos since there are a lot of random fights/riots down there to respond to, but what troubles me is that gang members don't seem to give a damn about being beaten with a nightstick or being shot at. Whenever I intervene in a fight in progress they just swarm me with no fear for their safety whatsoever. It's pretty bothering since I don't really wanna execute them all but I have to, otherwise I'll die. Is there a mod that improves the AI's behavior?

 

EDIT: Asked around on RDE's Discord, it's probably their modified relationships.dat file that causes this.

Sadly, there isn't a mod to improve their behavior, but there are mods to make the AI peds not react to gun fire/not attack you.  Bare in mind, this affects all peds, not just gang members.  So you really have to decide if not having gang members swarm you is worth all other AI not reacting either.

 

Keep Calm lets you choose which peds react to gunshots (AI drivers/peds), but it takes a massive hit on your FPS -

 

SSB only affects AI drivers, so not exactly what you're wanting, but it doesn't take a hit on your FPS -

Yeah, alright. I've tried both of those mods, I think Keep Calm is boring, but SSB is nice.

It's just that I think that they're almost being too aggressive now?

In vanilla they don't attack each other as regularly, but now they just wander across the street and randomly get in fights.

 

It's sad that I can have only either 0 or 100 % aggressive AI, but thanks anyway!

That almost sounds like you have another mod causing that.   I've sat down in Davis watching traffic and have never seen the AI cross the street and get into fights.

Out of all those, RDE seems like it might be the cause.  Though, I don't use RDE or ScenariOh and have no idea what the latter is.

Yeah, I'll ask on the RDE Discord about it.

ScenariOh lets you pick certain animations or poses if you're guarding a crime scene and stuff like that.
