Mods folder not working.

Featured Replies

I havent updated my game since May. I decided to update it last week and the Mods folder in OIV does not seems to work. Installed EUP OIV file and it did install in that folder but the game does not use it. Also when trying to spawn one of my added cars the game says invalid model despite all the files being there. The game just doesnt read from the mods folder. Any fix for this would be helpful.

I had the same problem after updating my game, You basically have to install your whole mods folder again and it should work like it used to.

how does one go about doing that?

So basically just delete your mods folder in your Grand Theft Auto V directory. Start a new folder called mods and then copy the update and x64 folders from your GTA V directory and paste them inside your new mods folder.

Hmm ok, Do you have your OpenIV.asi installed? You can check this by opening up OpenIV and clicking on Tools in the top left then going into ASI Manager and check if both OpenIV.ASI and ASI Loader is green and says installed. If that's not installed the game won't recognize your mods folder.

yes they are both installed. I tried uninstalling them and reinstalling them and that doesnt work either.

Then I'm not sure sorry. Only next thing to try is to do a fresh install of GTA V which should hopefully work.

does your mods folder contain the "update" folder? If so verify if you installed the cars in x64 INSIDE THE UPDATE folder instead of the standalone x64. I had the same problem as you first
