Can't search trunks of cars with people in

Featured Replies

Howdy Y'all

I got a little problem. When i'm doing a traffic stop i can't search the trunk of the car i just pulled over. Is that normal?

I can search the trunks of any parked vehicle but not the trunks of cars i pulled over xD

Well, for one, I think you need a search Warrant to search the trunk, ;) At least in the US.

I think it might be a bug where you can't check it in a stop, but when it is parked. I can't do it either.

either:

1) Get the suspect out of the car (you can't search it with the driver inside, passenger's you can though)

2) Press "~" to open console and type "reload script's"

3) exit the mod and go back on duty

I'm not quite sure what reloading the scripts will do Ross...

But yeah as of yet it's not possible to search the trunk of a car with the driver inside, even though the prompt may come up. You can order them to leave the car and they will generally get out and stand on the side of the road though. However, they won't get back in the car afterwards.

It's not a bug, it's a feature. Policemen will never search cars with the driver sitting in place, ready to drive off on them.

Nothing to see here!
