This is an issue I have seen a few people raise concerns over and after some testing and assistance from the Rage Plugin Boys and Girls it appears to be something to do with LSPDFR.

 

No one has ever really looked into this however, it does seem to effect a few people with the vanilla game. No add on's.

 

Plugin's have been ruled out along with scripts after some extensive testing. Would anyone from LSPDFR be able to take a look?

 

The error is always the same. A Rage.Ped unhanded exception message. Is this LSPDFR looking for Peds that do not exist?

That could be the issue. Another issue could be that a file got corrupted during download. Do you have the Steam or Retail version?

It's the Steam version. All the files have been verified though. 

 

Having done some more investigation this is an issue which may be related to Menyoo. Myself and another have been doing some testing. 

 

If this is the case I will look at trying to identify a way to make the two work as I use both regularly in game. 

**RESOLVED**

 

After removing and re adding everything this is a problem caused by Menyoo.

 

**WORK AROUND**

 

When you enter the game, start Menyoo first thing. Once you have loaded Menyoo so that the main menu is displayed, close it. Then load your LSPDFR Plugin. This will prevent the downtown crash.

 

It's a shame there was no support for this topic as it has been raised quite a few times on the forums and no one appears to have shown an interest in resolving it.
