So when did the armed police ie SCO19 stop wearing berets? I recently saw this video that was published back in 2011 on 9/11 of terrorism in the UK, and I saw the picture of these met officers. I thought they stopped wearing them in the late nineties/early 2000s. Does anyone actually know if they are still worn and when they were phased out?

    Well to be fair it doesn't have to be important to want to know. It's not like this forum is for emergencies only, as you could say "Is it really that important" about many things.

    It's unusual in the U.K. unlike countries like France
