I downloaded a complete save file, and I'm still getting the error.

Is your computer account set as admin?  I feel like this is some sort of permission problem - then again, I'm out of options.  I don't want to give up, but I can't think of any other possibilities.

Also - what icon are you running Rage from?  Desktop, or the GTA folder?  Do you have a GTA icon on your desktop?

I'm running it from the folder. My account is the admin account on the PC.

I actually figured out how to get a log file of when it runs so let me attach that.

RagePluginHookLauncher.log

The problem seems only with the actual launcher, which I don't get at all.  Double click on the GTAVLauncher. What does it do?

All it does is give me an error code for not starting it via steam.

"Launched Error. Code: 115 The game was not launched via the Steam client."

Open Steam, and right click GTA-->properties-->set launch options. Is there anything here?

It was just the line you told me to put in earlier, but I went ahead and tried it with/without it. It still results in the same error. I've even tried reinstalling the SC via Installers folder to see if that would help it.

I'm sorry to say it, but there's nothing else I can think of to suggest.  I'm trying desperately to think of possibilities, but not coming back with anything.  Only thing I can suggest is doing a fresh reinstall of Rage, LSPDFR, etc.

Sorry I couldn't figure this out.

Its all good man. I appreciate you taking the time to help me work through everything. It looks like I may just have to wait for the latest RPH update.

I did, and it said there was a newer version installed. I installed as well the .NET file, and C++ Visual Studio just to be safe. I'm still getting the error.

1. Go to your main GTA V directoy where the RPH.exe is located

2. Right click on a blank space in the directory and click properties (Not on a file, but on a blank space

3. Uncheck the read-only mode and then click apply to all folders and subfolders

Unfortunately I get that same error.

There's no logical reason for this.  Are you positive GTA V launches normally from Steam or the GTA5.exe?

Yes. I can run GTAV normally, and play story mode for hours on end with no issues. I can do missions, sidequests, and just wreak havoc on it. I can even play GT-MP with no issues or any sort of problems.

You shouldn't be able to go into GTAOnline with a modded directory.

Do you actually have 2 GTA directories?  One on your C drive and one on the external drive?

No, I moved the one from the V: drive I had it on earlier to the C: drive so we could ensure the pathing wasn't the problem. There's only the one directory in the C: drive.

Also I don't mean GTAOnline, sorry if I was unclear about that. Its a application that lets you connect to servers from a list similar to how SAMP and MTA work.

Are you sure those might not be the problem?  I've never heard of those before.  I know of FiveM and that multiplayer, but not SAMP/MTA.

[Edit] I hate to do this, but I am throwing in the towel.  I can't think of any other solutions at this point.  I'm heading off for the night - sorry I couldn't help figure this out.  Good luck.
