You redid your mods folder, right?  Did you also install this car again? or is this installed in the vanilla files?

I did redo the mods folder, i just left the car.

Before you do this, verify if it's an issue with all vehicles or just one.  There are some ELS models that have shitty lighting by default, and nothing you edit will fix it.   If it's on all

Alright, but instead of installing that same vehicle, try a different ELS vehicle.

In your GTA V settings, find the option "Shader quality". Set to high.

When I said redo, I meant delete it and do a fresh mods install, don't leave anything in it. :P  This way, we start from scratch and can try to figure out what's going on.

Nah, you're not frustrating at all. :)

Go to your GTA V folder (not in OpenIV). Right click, and delete the folder entirely.  Next, right click again, create new folder, and name it "mods" (without the "")

Do the steps I pointed out several posts above this. :)

Am i supposed to go to mods, then get to the vehicles?

I'm sorry, what do you mean?  Mods as in on this site?  If so, then yes. :) Look for the vehicles that say [ELS].

I assume you're going to be replacing vehicles, so it'd go to mods / update / x64 / dlcpacks / latest patchday that has a vehicles.rpf / dlc / x64 / levels / gta5 / vehicles.rpf.  That is where the vehicle files go.  For the ELS XML that comes with it, open your GTA 5 folder / ELS / pack_default. Place it there.

I am honestly kind of at a loss.  To my knowledge, only PostFX and the visualsettings.dat control your light brightness.  In some cases vehicle tint may be an issue, but that doesn't seem to be the problem here.  This will be annoying as fuck, but turn your postfx to the lowest setting.  Save it, and quit the game.  Now load the game again (you do not have to load in via Rage for this).  Change your PostFX to high, not ultra.  Any change?

It's almost 3 A.M for me so if I'm staying up this late to try to fix it, you know I want it

Ha ha, it's about 3am here as well.  If you want/need to sleep, go for it.  I practically live here, so we can always continue tomorrow.

If not, let me know the result. :)

You sound like me.  "Sleep? What is it?"

By chance, did you ever mess with a file called carcols?

I was hoping the postFx would be it because the whole time it was on ultra.

I did say to try turning it on high, not ultra. :P  There is a small glitch sometimes where ultra postfx does not have the outcome that you'd want.
