random crashes

my game has been randomly crashing. it is running fine when i go on duty, but when i start to drive down the road or even just sit there for a little while the game will crash. some of these crashes will come up with the game memory error, and others will just crash without saying any errors at all. it is very frustrating because i am not able to play the game at all.

well this was probably a bad idea but i personally find the default gta vehicles to be pretty ugly so to bring more life to the game i tried to replace most of the default vehicles with their real life counterparts

Unfortunately, if your PC isn't beastly, replacing all of the vanilla vehicles with modded ones isn't going to work out for you.  Though, I've only heard of too many modded vehicles causing texture loss and other issues, not crashing - but it's certainly possible.

alright, i will try uninstalling some of them and see how that works. in the case that that fixes the problem, thank you for your help. one other thing though, i am using ELS and my police lights don't have any corona. i have looked everywhere to see how to fix it but nothing has worked. would you know how to fix that???

corona is like the glare effect from headlights, street lamps, etc.

i had tried that already but it didn't work. i have graphics mods installed and i even looked at what the mod developer said to do but it didn't work. it is so bad that during the day, you can barely even tell that the lights are actually on

Open OpenIV / mods / update / update/ common / data.  Find "visualsettings.dat".  Extract this to your desktop.  Now open it and search for "car.def".  You should be brought to car.defaultlight.emissive.on.   You will see a day and night option.

 

Change the day option to 6000, and 1500 for night time.  Save your work, and drag the edited visualsettings back to where you got it.  Your lights should be good now.

so i changed those settings to see if it fixed it but now before i can even spawn in a vehicle to see the lights, the game crashes and i get this error message

You're most welcome!  If the lights at night are a bit bright, you can just lower the number a bit for night.
