You're missing advancedhookv.dll.  This comes with the LSPDFR download, so please redownload LSPDFR and grab the file. :)

Uninstalled LSPDFR, and then re installed it. Rage Hook launched the outdated version that comes with LSPDFR. Once I copied over the files of the current version of Rage Hook, It will no longer launch. Doing the same thing as earlier. When I launch as Administrator I get the same prompt as earlier. After clicking Okay, noting else happens.

I didn't mean uninstall anything.  I meant, you could just download LSPDFR and take the one file from the download and put into your directory.  Make sure advancedhookv.dll is in your directory.

It's there now.

Check your anti virus.  Add GTA V as an exception. Do the same thing with your firewall.

I don't have an Anti Virus provider. And GTA 5 is allowed through my firewall.

Unfortunately, I'm not too sure what would be the issue at this point.  We might be able to fix it if we could get into the Rage settings, but without Rage even opening, there's not much we can do.

I'm giving up on this for tonight. If you can think of anything else, just reply it and I will try it in the morning. If not, thanks for trying to help me out. Guess I'll just be sticking to vanilla GTA lol.

1.Turn off Windows Smart-screen and maybe windows defender.

2. If you have GameBackups.rph in your main gta 5 folder MOVE it out of that folder and somewhere else.

3. Try using an older ragehook because I used ragehook v55 and it gave me problems. I'm on v52.

Tried turning off Windows Defender and SmartScreen and then running Rage Hook v0.55, no change to what happens. Attempts to start the app but crashes moments after.

Downloaded v0.52, the app launches successfully , but then I get the prompt saying my current game version is not supported by that version of Rage Hook..

Unfortunately, as you cannot downgrade GTA, even if downgrading Rage works, you won't be able to play.  For 0.55, are you running in compatibility mode?

--- SOLVED ---

Alright, this probably should have been one of the first things I did.  Some how my v0.55 download of Rage Hook must have been corrupted. I re downloaded the newest version from the website and extracted the files to my GTAV folder. Success! Game launches successfully and LSPDFR is now running! Thanks guys for your support!

I am having the exact same problem. Although downgrading RPH didn't work in my case.  As soon as I click RPH, it starts thinking, and it even pops up in the task manager, the same as Pav said, but then just disappears.

My retail GTA5 starts no problem. I'm just unable to start RPH.  Also, not sure if it's a connected issue, but when I do an install of LSPDFR, at the end of the installation when you get the option for the "First Time Run Configurator", I have that checked to open, but it doesn't either.

I have to say, this is a brand new computer, fresh install everything. built it last week. There is no antivirus- firewall has the proper exceptions. Smart screen is all the way off.  I'm 99% sure that I got all the proper required programs. And I know for a fact that this computer will run it. (1080, i7-7700k, W10Home, 16gbRAM).

It feels as though I've exhausted all the "fixes" that are posted everywhere on the net.  Like the big long one on the RPH forums, and even the Creators update fixes didn't work.

I even tried taking an existing WORKING copy from my other rig, and copying it over to this new one, and still nothing.  There's not even a log file to show you.

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers!

Alright. I have fixed it finally.  And it was nothing even closely related to GTA or RPH that led me to the solution.

I was trying to launch my Event Viewer, and it said it couldn't load the snap-ins.  I had no clue what those were, so I Something searched it.

Turns out, after my fresh install of Windows and all that,  not all the parts of the Microsoft .net Framework was activated.

So, if yours won't even start, try this fix:

To turn on the Microsoft .net Framework, do the following:

a. Click start-Control Panel > Programs and Features.
b. Click Turn Windows features on or off.
c.  Now select “Microsoft .net Framework 3.5.1".  You have to expand each component and check the ones you want.
d.  Restart the computer and check if the issue is fixed.

I personally just checked them all on; did a quick restart and Voila! fixed.

I hope that other people who have the same problem can find this, because I spent the last 2 days pulling my hair out trying to get it loaded.

Happy Policing!
