So, after watching a few of JF's videos I decided to go back in time and watch some of his stuff from the early days of LSPD.  I noticed in this video he yanks open a suspect's door, puts a gun to their head and makes them get out.

Was this a feature in the early LSPD that's no longer available?

I've looked high and low for how to do this and can't find any answers.

I'm almost positive this is a vanilla armed carjacking animation.  I'm not too sure, though, as I never pull someone out via that method.

That's just a regular animation pulled from the game's RNG. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't.

Any other time I go up to the door, I yank them out then jump in the driver's seat.  I have to get BACK out of the car and stick 'em up.  This is nice for the peds that put their hands up but just sit there in the vehicle like numbnuts.  I step back and the AI pulls them out and arrests them.  Less work for me to do, but I'd like to have the same options, yanowamsayn?

If you hold your thumbstick (or use your keyboard) to run in the opposite direction as you're performing the carjacking animation you can cancel getting into the car.

Don't do it until you're actually pulling them out of the car or you will just open the door and run away like a jackass.
