Yes, bought GTA 5 three days ago. I've watched a lot of LSPDFR videoes online, all the way back from GTA IV - 2012 times, so wanted to give it a go myself.

Here is a good tutorial for installing LSPDFR and Rage.  Follow it step by step, and all should be good. :) 

 

Sadly, however, this is where my attempts have to stop, because I'm not sure what's preventing Rage from starting.

Also installed all the three programs from Microsoft. Just got prompted with that I had all of them installed. But anyways, thanks a lot for dedicating time to try to help me!  I really appreciate it.

Thank you a ton for the help! Just followed the tutorial you gave me, and manually installed it. It works now! But I have one problem. That is when I press F4 to launch the console it doesn't pop up. I know its there because I wrote loadplugin and pressed tab and it loaded up LSPDFR, but I can't see the "physical" ingame form of the console.

You're most welcome! Glad you got it.

 

For your new issue - Go to the RagePluginHook Settings ---> Game settings ---> Command line switches check "Force Windowed mode" and "Force DirectX11" then save and launch.

I usually play in fullscreen tho, and when I checkmark force windowed mode, does that mean I can't play in fullscreen?

For starters, just try the "Force DirectX11" option. If still nothing, try the forced windowed mode. You might be able to switch to full screen in game, I'm not sure on that.

Thanks a lot! It worked when I selected Force DirectX11 and the force windowed mode. I selected the fullscreen mode afterwards as well so I can fully utilize my 1440p 144hz monitor.

Juuusttt one more question. Is there a thread where it displays like every basic command in LSPDFR? I want to know how to like lookup information, pull someone over, use sirens without the sound, etc, etc.

Shift + Starting the emergency lights doesn't work for me. They won't pull over what so ever, and I don't know how to call for backup etc.

First off, do the AI just keep driving in a straight line, or drive like blind idiots? 

 

Second, make sure you're on light stage 3 (assuming you're using ELS).

Whats ELS? And I don't really know about the straight line or blind idiots, just tried to pull over a random because I wanted to try, but he/she didn't pull over to the side of the motor way. Neither did my character say anything when I did it. Was the lights supposed to blip before I clicked E?

Never mind about ELS, lol.

 

Are you on duty when you try to pull them over?  Either via going to the police station, or hitting F4 and typing in "forceduty".

When you press shift, do you see a red blip on your map?  If not, make sure the front of your vehicle is close to the rear of theirs.
