Administrator Settings

Featured Replies

Hello c:

Can somebody tell me how to disable my computer from automatically running all of my programs with elevated privileges?  I am using Windows 7.  I've already gone into user settings/ system and security/ and adjusted the User Account Control settings to "never notify me." But when I still run programs like (RagePluginHook for example) I still get warning messages telling me not to run the program in Administrator mode. :c

Thank you for your help :3

Hello. I've attached a screenshot of this warning message I always seem to get—even though superior privileges are supposedly disabled >:c maybe it goes deeper than that? like in my firewall or something. I don't know, I just tried to do what google told me to do :3

right click on the RagePluginHook.exe - click properties - compatibility - uncheck the "Run this program as administrator" if it's checked. then retry

It maybe slightly different as i can't remember the exact thing for Windows 7 as i'm using Windows 10

If you want to me reply as soon as possible, then either quote or @CouthInk4  me as i'll be notified, a general reply will not notify me

Thats the thing, its already unchecked

Does this affect your game? like does RPH not load? If it doesn't affect anything then i wouldn't worry too much about it.

For the most part no. But when it does crash I always wonder if it is because of the privileges. Also it bugs me that elevated privileges are constantly running even though I told it not to. I was just using RPH as an example though, my general question was how to disable the privileges. But thank you c:

That message will come up use the Run As Administrator.. so if it's running as Admin it'll bring up that message (Although for me it did it when i chose "restart with elevated privledges" just running it as Admin was fine.

It shouldn't affect your crashing, as running things with admin shouldn't harm it. If you experience crashing then upload your RPH log and we can look at it to see what caused it. Something on your PC could just be making it run as admin (even though you have it unchecked).

What you could try to do is reinstall RagePluginHook, that'll revert your settings back so it may revert the elevated privledges
