So I have a backed up copy of 1032 that I was able to revert to but I had to use Rage 0.54 to do the revert. The game works if I launch it from steam and ScriptHook works as well so I know I am on 1032. However, I cannot get the game to launch through Rage. When I try to launch Rage I get all the green check marks and then nothing. It just crashes with no error and I do not see any logs either.

 

This seems to be an issue reverting from Rage 0.54 to 0.52. Perhaps there is a config file that is incompatible with 0.52 that was upgraded when I ran 0.54? I have seen other people that have said they have this problem as well but I was unable to find a solution.

 

Has anyone been able to solve this? 

This was caused by Rage 0.54 updating the backup cache.

 

I simply renamed GameBackups.rph to _oldGameBackups.rph and that fixed the issue.  

I really wish I had known about this solution a few days ago. I still have 1032 backed up, but can no longer download .52 from Rage as all previous versions have been removed.

If its not available on the RPH site for download, then the answer is no. its not allowed

I have a terrible habit of letting my downloads explode... I currently have over 400 items in it so I just so happened to have the old version laying around... Some time a bad habit works out.

When I do this I get the ERR_SYS_FILELOAD Error
