Creating Uniform Texture Guide?

Featured Replies

Hey,

I want to start to learn how to make player/ped skins. I just want to change the colour of the state trooper texture really, but learning how to make them would be nice. I've been looking for an hour or so around GPM trying to find a good "How to make a uniform" guide, or something along the lines of that.

So if you do know a good guide I can use, I'd be very thankful.

Thanks.

The easiest way is to use SparkIV/OpenIV to extract the existing texture and edit that; it's usually fairly obvious what part of the texture shows up where.

The arm badges need to be in the lines, use the default/existing one as a guide, as for words, make sure they are small and centered, or they will just look like a smear.

The way kit explains is the way i do it. I use Paint.net to edit it. But you really have to try and fail if you know what i mean. And remember...this is important. MAKE BACKUP.
