Placing New Police Cars

Featured Replies

My fault if this is is in the wrong location, but... anyways to the point. I watched a video on how to install new police cars and watched a couple of them actually and when i go to put new police cars in, the location that the Youtubers say that they're in aren't even in there and if they are when i replace it it doesn't work in game. I don't really know what im doing wrong could be some simple and I'm clearly missing so if i could get some help on what I am missing I'd appreciate it!

The files go in the very latest patchday that has a vehicles.rpf.  The reason some car files still say "patchday 3" is because in the past, previous patchdays worked.  They don't anymore.  So you shou

You have to use openiv and turn on edit mode.

Install in your latest patchday like patchday14 or higher. Sometimes if vehicle is require to be install in certain location then install it there. Those videos are example for you, the readme in the car files is the main thing.

.

If the vehicle you download have a read me then follow the readme

if it doesn't then read for location on the website

if there are no readme or location on the website then try the latest patchday or x64e

Sorry not trying to be annoying, So if the readme says put in patch12 put it in there and if doesn't put in patch14

Ok, then place it in there if there are no readme. If the readme doesn't give you direction then go on to the website. If the website doesn't give direction too then install in patchday14 or x64e

Send me a picture of your openiv in patchday14 vehicle.rpf

and click on tools at the top left corner and select asi manager screenshots that too

This is where it tells me to put everything but theres nothing to replace there, and I tried putting it in x64e and I did and it worked but I dragged Police1 and Police2 and it replaced the Snowy Cars(I forgot what they are called) 3e4a10591a8e4f4a626f90c58215357d.png

You don't have to replacea anything when your original car files is not there. Just drop it in thhere and it will work. Don't replace it with anything else. Name your car properly.

police2.yft

police2.ytd

same for the rest. Just change the name for the slot. Don't ever change the _hi. So anything further than _hi or .ytd and .yft don't change it

Yes sir.

Are you using a mods folder? All of my replacement cars are in the latest patchday and work flawlessly.  Make sure in ASI manager you have ASI loader installed.

Also make sure after you drag and drop the replacement files, you click "edit mode" again.  This verifies the change.

If nothing else, please provide full screenshots of your vehicles.rpf that you're changing.  Double click the .yft of the car you've replaced and take a screenshot of the car viewer so we can verify it is the right car.

I need donations to help fund my food addiction. DM for details 😂
