Question about upcoming update

Featured Replies

How will my gaming be affected with LSPDFR and MODS by the upcoming update? I have read a lot of things about in the past how everything breaks. Just trying to see what i should expect after the update, and what i can do to to help it.

If it's a real update and not just an added adversary mode like they did in the past, mods will be broken and you'll have to wait for Rage/Scripthook to be updated. You can avoid that by making a backup of your current installation, and for that you need to use the searchbar on the top right (or Google), you'll find all the tutorial and help needed there.

A backup of what exactly? The game itself, or the extras i've added in? I do have a backup of the game files for GTAV, but since i play through steam, I'm pretty sure it'll do a force update.

I don't want to sound mean, but did you even look at the very first topic of the section you created your topic in? It's right there.

What I do is whenever I launch the game when there's an update pending is I just disable my internet connection while it starts up. This stops the game from updating. Then, when updates have been released for all the mods, I'll do a full update of everything.

Please quote or @Wilhelm me in threads if you're wanting my attention/response!

Thanks

Not sure if this still works, it has for me in the past,

I haven't played GTAV in a while so when I got back into it I had to download the game again and thankfully all the important mods where up to date.   I think the main thing is backing up the GTA.exe, GTA Launcher and the update.rpf files.   Guess I'll find out when the next update happens.
