Problem With Lights

Featured Replies

Hi ^-^ This issue completely perplexes me! I have always used BxBugs123 2014 Dodge Charger but now the brake lights on the lightbar are super dim! Even with Radiance V installed. I don't know what happened, it used to work just fine D: Look for yourself.

This has always been my absolute favorite car! I would just like to know what make the lights appear abnormally dim.

I've tried that several times. Even on a clean install ;~;

Do you have your postFX in your settings up on very high? Not having it set up on high/very high does sometimes cause lightbars to go weird.

Have you re-downloaded the car (did you re-download it and notice this error) or is it the same file you've always used?

If it's the same file you've always used then the issue may be your visualsettings. Do you have a graphics/visual mod installed?

As I said in the original post I am using bugs Radiance mod. The same Ive always used with the car. Other than that my game is completely stock .-.

And its not the same file actually. Its the latest download version of it (the .ovi pack) but I also still have the original version when the car first came out and neither of them work

New version of RadianceV?

I have a feeling that it maybe a value in your visualsettings.dat file.

I've tried everything to fix it. New versions of RadianceV, old versions of RadianceV as well as other peoples lighting mods. Nothing works. What value do I need to change in my visualsettings.dat file? c:

it'll either be

"car.brakelight."

"car.middlebrakelight."

"car.extralight."

if it's attached to the lightbar (as in bugs made it so it's also part of the lightbar) it'll be "car.defaultlight."

Just play around with the settings.. I can't say for certain which one of those it is as i'm not entirely sure how bugs made the car nor have i used the vehicle. But i'm 90% certain it's one of those settings. Just about trial and error.

I've manually adjusted the settings for each one of those four values and nothing works. The only value that made a difference car.middlebrakelight and it only worked if I set the value so high (5000+). And if I have the value set that high it just stays permanently on day/night. I don't understand why this works for everyone except me! Albo is using the same car in this video he uploaded two months ago and the lights are working flawlessly...

I think i've used that car before.. I vaguely remember it (i use a lot of different cars.. and haven't played GTA since January) However i've never had this problem. try these settings and see if it works.

car.brakelight.day.emissive.on    700.00
car.brakelight.night.emissive.on    550.00
car.brakelight.day.emissive.off    0.00
car.brakelight.night.emissive.off    0.000

Keep in mind that myself and Albo are using a graphics enhancer, so lights will be enhanced.. I've never tried it on a stock standard GTA V so these settings might not work. However if your PC can handle it.. You could always use a graphics mod like VisualV or MVGA

I have been using this model since late 2014 with only his Radiance V mod... And for the longest time it has worked flawlessly... I've never before used a graphics enhancer (other than Radiance) because I have a high end PC and I am happy with the stock graphics. But somewhere between late 2015/ mid 2016 the game updated and this car was never the same. ;~;

This is what happens when I change the value to 700 and 550...
