LSPDFR and Logitech Profiler

Featured Replies

My apologies if this has been covered. I have searched for the last 4 hours and read many posts, but still cannot find an answer. I have used the Logitech Profiler to change many of the Logitech 310 controller buttons. I also first used the Free My Controller download to free up the buttons prior to adding the new button commands. From there I could not use the Logitech Profiler to launch GTA V the game is launched by Stream. When I tried to use the GTAVLauncher.exe file via the Profiler I kept getting an error (code 15: Stream not used to launch game). I found a work around for this by creating a .bat file. Thus, the Profiler now launches GTA V without the usual error. However, my new Profiler settings are not loading with the game and thus not working when LSPDFR is loaded via Rage. What am I missing here?

Thanks in advance from a new gamer!

Is it worth saying how you solved it to help users in the same situation?

I'm honestly not sure how it was resolved. It may have been as simple as restarting my computer for everything to properly install. Using the batch file to launch GTA V works quite well though and the button/command editing is super easy. The following are edited instructions courtesy of SpawnZ over at the Stream Community. on how to get the Profiler to launch GTA V. Remember to restart your computer, this seems quite noob, but it got me!

Firstly, You're going to need to go to the main GTA V game folder
By Default, that folder should be located in:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\GTA V
or something similar.

  • Next you need to create a new text document in that folder
Right click a blank area in the folder and click
    New>Text Document
    & then name it rungame.txt

  • Open rungame.txt in notepad
Paste the following into the document
    start steam://rungameid/271590

  • File>Save As
    Make the file name: rungame.bat
Make the save type: All Files
Make sure the file is being saved into the GTA V main directory!
    Save.

  • Almost Done! Open up your Logitech Profiler

After Logitech Profiler has opened, you're going to want to create a new profile.
To do so click Profile>New and Create a Name for your profile.

Then Browse for the main directory of the game.
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\GTA V
    and select rungame.bat

You can now launch GTA V with your custom controls from Logitech Profiler!
