GTA V crashing on loading screen

Featured Replies

I know that LSPDFR won't work until RHP is updating and everything but I would still like to play GTA without mods or anything until everything is updating. I updated the game of course and now it crashes on the loading screen. I removed ScriptHook V and everything but it still crashes. Any idea why or how I could fix it? Because who knows how long it will take until everything is updated lol. Thanks

If you have your game through steam you can verify the game cache and it should revert your game to the original files, not sure how to do that with the rockstar version though.

How do I do that?

With steam, verify your game files or with retail you can re-download the GTA V setup program, and start it and it will give you the option to either remove or repair your game. Repairing your game will reinstall any missing components needed to run the game.

At what point does it crash, and does it say anything?

Dear abecker, maybe you can try this link. It shows a guide on how to repair your non-steam version of GtaV:

If this doesn't work i suggest you contact Rockstar Game Support:

Good luck!

Hey,

Unfortunately unless you have a backed up game RAGE is not updated yet. But if you are not using any mods than try making a commandline.tx file and putting availablevidmem. 64 inside and see if that works. It worked for me

Please rate my profile and follow if I helped, Thank You

Go to the commandline.txt and enter -verify this will check for missing files
