Hey, I have noticed that me and a number of my friends, GTA V for PC will no longer work after hours of investigation. one of my friends just bought a new game foe 80$ plus shipping, but my friends and I do not want to. Is it not possible to simple copy the GTA V files and burn them onto another disc for free or is that illegal? We all have our games by disc not steam. is there another easy way to get a legit version of GTA V without buying it? thank you

That's illegal, yes.

 

Purchase it off Steam. It's $60 USD, I'd assume around the same price for CAD. That is unless the money is useless like AUD and you just get ripped. It'll go on sale when Spring comes, just wait for that.

@TheCanadianDream It's best just to buy from Steam. I have noticed others have had issues with the disc version. Steam has no issues (i even switched from disc to Steam.. and noticed some slight performance gain which is weird). Just the downside is the 60-70GB download. but you can always backup and verify the game if it gets broken.

I'd purchase the game off of G2A, it's only like $30 from there. I would never pay another $60 for GTA 5.
