Xbox 360 [WIRED] Controller

Recommended Posts

I just found an old wired Xbox 360 controller in the storage shed and plugged her into my PC to see if it even still worked and to my surprise, it did!!! :ohmy::ohmy::ohmy: -- no lie, this made my month! I've been wanting to play with a controller since day 1 because my driving skills with a keyboard are about at a :whistling::whistling::whistling: -250/10  :whistling::whistling::whistling::whistling:, but who's counting anyways eh, right? Haha! My only question is, how do I know which buttons do what and how can I customize them. OR better yet, I should ask this first, would an Xbox 360 controller (NOT an XBOX ONE CONTROLLER) work with GTA V + Rage + LSPDFR and my mods?  I started trying to google search it on Rockstar's forum, but kept running into walls there, so I tried wide open google and got no where either, so here I am now, in our lovely forum for LSPDFR  I did poke around in a few INI files on some mods I have and found this website, but it's been so long since I have used Xbox Controllers, unless it's labeled like the X, Y, B, and A are and the start and back buttons, I'm lost completely on what the other stuff means on this page. I really really really :unsure::unsure: hope that this um, :unsure::unsure::unsure::unsure::unsure: will work for me because I miss driving like a sane person who knew how to hit buttons without ramming into an actual speeder who is already going 120+ MPH on the freeway in a pursuit.

Much thanks to anyone who has any input!

the 360/One controller are the same so they layout will be the same. The only way you can know what the mod/plugins use is by reading the config file (it'll have it listed there). As for the page you linked it goes as follows.

DPadUp - Directional Pad Up

DPadDown - Directional Pad down

DPadLeft - Directional Pad Left

DPadRight - Direction pad right

Start - Start button (obviously)

Back - Back button (obviously, located on the opposite side of the start button)

Left Thumb - Left analog stick

RightThumb - Right Analog stick

LeftShoulder - left "bumper" button located above the left trigger

Right Shoulder - right "bumper" button located above the right trigger

Then A,B,X,Y are self explanatory

And yes, You can use a controller with your mods. All (if not most) of the LSPDFR mods are compatible with a controller

If you want to me reply as soon as possible, then either quote or @CouthInk4  me as i'll be notified, a general reply will not notify me
