New to ELS, have the Hellcat ELS cop car installed. ELS aint working, only tail lights flash.

The ELS folder goes where exactly?

just in game folder, or Plugins?

Do I just drop the hellcat xml named fbi in pack_default folder?

Read the Basic Installation section here:

Then yes, drop the fbi.xml into the pack_default folder of ELS (provided you are using the car in the fbi slot).  I suggest reading documentation in the download as you can do a lot with this mod.

there is NO documentation in d/l.  that's why im asking here, its confusing for first timers. all it says on d/l page is 'drop it in your ELS folder'...ok, where does the ELS folder go? as for reading, pls read above questions, thanks-

 

and do you put it in pack_default folder and rename it? along with in ini file to fbi?. or make a new folder called fbi?, cos it wont read that pack_default folder with the sample in it right?, cos its not a valid car name in game.

yes they all going into pack default folder

 

the order is gta game directory, then els, then pack default folder and insert all xml in to this folder 

 

try that.

let us know

and rename fbi or make new folder for fbi xml?, an rename in  ini  file?

you only rewritten the names of the xml file if you change the car slots that you have put that car in eg moving it from fbi slot to police 3 you change all the names from fbi to police3

I mean if u put it in pack_default as fbi.xml it will read it?, and don't have to change the pack_default name name in  ini  file?

 

btw, I opened the fbi xml file an it says police2 at the top. wth?, its for the replacement of the fbi

no leave it with the same names for the folders that came with els.

 

only change the car folders XML file, ytd, ytfs   that you download  to add to the game if you dont want them in  that slot example

fbi slot  to police3 slot

fbi.ytd (police3.ytd)

fbi.ytf (police3.ytf)

fbi.xml (police3)

 

and you don't want them in FBI slot just change the files that you going to add

well sht... I muffed up the fbi2 somehow, so I went back to original files an now fbi an fb2 are the same 4-door fbi buffalo. fbi2 supposed to be the suburban truck. sht, an that's auto saved. any1 got the original fbi2's yft, ytd, an  _hi.yft?

 try another els car just incase it the car, then you  can see if its game itself or the file your adding.

 

some time files your added in the past like vehicle.mets  or carcols.ymt ect that affect vehilces only can effect this,

 

i would change them all out to the originally file if  you find that its all the els cars

No, and we cannot provide the originals to you.   If you used a mods folder, you can copy over the original files.

the orignal files are in x64e in openiv  copy the fbi ones  to your desktop then transfree them to your mods one where you have stuffed up,

 

you need to add the new cars to thee lastest game patch that you have eg patchday13ng   which will change your car in the game

There is an entire folder of documentation in the download.

That response isn't needed as TheForecaster is right. You're clearly warned before modding to make backups for this very reason. If you game breaks you need backups to fix it. It's against Rockstar's EULA and it's against our Community Guidelines to share/link to original game files.
