The latest updated version of RAGE Plugin Hook, required to play LSPDFR, can be found inside the LSPDFR download. It is not currently available on the RAGE Plugin Hook website.

Randomized Arrest Animation?

What if we had the arrest animation randomized. What I mean by this is sometimes they would get on their knees sometimes lay down. Better yet have different buttons for each one. Now I'm not sure if there's a standing arrest animation, but if there is that would be great as well.

I do like the idea of different arrest animations, but randomized may end up being a nightmare depending on the situation.  I'm not a huge fan of it being different buttons, especially when you consider most people have LSPDFR fully modded, and have very little, if any at all, free keys left.  It'd just turn into more key conflicts trying to find useable ones for the animations.

 

If they can find a way to pull it off, I'm all for it.

Good point! I have the same problem. So much so I'm thinking of getting one of those Logitech keyboards with all the G keys.

Funny how for most games, the normal keyboard is perfect.  For LSPDFR? We need an even bigger one. XD

0.2 had a different arrest animation which I actually preferred, where they dropped to their knees and put their hands behind their back. Seems like that could be brought back, and without any extra keys... you could have it where you just hold E longer to put them all the way down on the ground.

I wonder why they switched it.  It seems more realistic and common for them to get down onto their knees, especially in this sense.  Then laying on the ground causes little bugs sometimes where you can't arrest them.  I don't like executing people, but how else am I supposed to "arrest" them?

I agree the lay on the ground is a bit more COPS style, but you don't see it in real life.

I'm pretty sure the perp-on-knees hands-on-head animation set is shorter overall, too. Not too sure how easy/possible it'd be to override LSPDFR's arrest feature though
