I could use some help,

I installed Rage Plugin (version 0.50.1044.10171) and LSPDFR mod (version 0.3.1) exactly as instructed. But when I launch the game  via rage hook it crashes without any error messages popping up. Does anyone know what to do or where did I go wrong?

 

please let me know what info i need to provide, I'm a bit of a novice on modding GTA.

In which order did you install RPH and LSPDFR?

LSPDFR comes with an outdated version of RPH, so if you installed LSPDFR, you'll have to (re-)install RPH afterwards.

Sorry for the confusion, I installed LSPDFR then Rage. I repeated this process a couple times. but game will crash before is starts. If launched normally will work fine

Does the RPH configuration window show up when you first start GTAV through RPH? Normally there is a window with all the dependencies and if you have them, do you have all of those?

And have you tried running the RagePluginHook.exe as admin?

Actually i kinda have a problem like this but mine shows the configuration window and it opens the RPH logo and then when it's "intializing" it crashes saying it stopped working, if i try to run GTA V alone (not RPH) it works properly, dosen't crash and yes i tried to use the alt + tab method thing and still didn't work.

When i first start up rage, I did go through all setup. then I started rage.exe and the logo kicks up and goes through its initialization process and the last thing it says is "waiting for game window" I see social club window kick on for a sec and screen goes black as it usually does to start the game. then it kicks back to desktop and a social club window comes on and says something along the lines.."game quit unexpectedly.."this the only pop up error i get and its not very informative. 

I have also ran as admin and same result. Yes I get green across the board showing that i have all dependencies and I also had a window saying that some files where blocked and I unblocked them, when setting up rage.

So I updated my graphics card driver and removed SDK file from GTA directory, per some advice when reading around, restarted pc and tried again and got this..... any thoughts from anyone?

UPDATE: verified game integrity via steam and launched game normally without Rage hook, and boots up just fine. exited and retried launching via Rage hook and game crashed  "exited unexpectedly" as before. I downloaded and reinstalled fresh Rage hook and still same result...... don't know what else to do..  

Consider this topic CLOSED, It was a compatibility mode issue. I'm running windows 10, had to set compatibility mode to windows 8 for both Ragehook.exe and GTAV Launcher.exe  but thanks for the help community...........

Dude, how did you change the compatibility? I have windows 10 and my ragehook keeps crashing my game just like yours

right click gta.exe and ragehook.exe and go to compatibility mode tab, and set to windows 8
