What FPS can I expect?

Gents ...

Finally diving into LSPDFR after some time away from gaming. No need for 4K on my end, and cost is a consideration for me.

Current setup-

i5-2500k running at 4.0 ghz

8gb RAM

Antique GPU

Toshiba 500gb HDD

I'm planning to snag a 1050 ti to replace the GPU, but was also considering a bump up to 16gb RAM and/or an SSD.

I'd be happy playing LSPDFR on Med/Hi settings with Mods and ELS installed. Would these upgrades get me there?

Cheers.

I'd definitely upgrade your CPU rather than your RAM. It's extremely old and you could definitely use a new one (this may mean getting a new motherboard too). Running GTAV and modifications is CPU intensive.

An RAM upgrade might still be worth a thought. I usually ran GTA V with 8 GB of RAM and it was always filled up to ~ 7,8 GB. With 16 GB, it consumes even more than 8 GB. Especially ressource-heavy scripts such as Keep Calm. But actually, I cant tell you if it will be an performance + for you.

So what this means is, if you think about an overhaul of your PC, do it completly if your budget allowes you to. So you are up to date on all parts. However, if your budget is tight, then of cource dont go for RAM first (dont cut the budget on CPU/GPU just to upgrade to 16 GB or RAM)

Really appreciate all the feedback here gents.

I'm currently running a 1gb GTX 560 ti  ... even with the limitations there I've been able to fool around with LSPDFR on medium settings at a lower resolution.

My two-year-old boy is a major resource hog  so a complete overhaul isn't in the cards at this time.
