ELS not loading in game [SOLVED]

Featured Replies

There seems to be a lot of people having this problem but no one has posted a solution yet.

When in game ELS doesn't respond to commands and when the siren is activated only the wig wags flash.

Fixes I've attempted:

Pressing both right and left ctrl+p.

Cycling scroll lock.

Assigned different keys to ELS.

Installed both versions of ELS V.

Installed different vehicles and VCF's.

Reinstalled LSPDFR.

Reinstalled RPH.

Reinstalled GTA V.

The only plugin installed is lspdfr in an attempt to narrow the issue.

So far I haven't found anything to fix my issue. I remember you had to go in and activate each individual model in GTA IV, but going the the VCF and ELS config there's no option to do so.

I've gone through the readme's and manuals a dozen times and searched the forums high and low but still nada.

Any and all help is appreciated thanks!

I am stuck in the same boat as you

In your main GTA V directory, make sure the advancedhook.dll, els ini, and els.asi are there.

I need donations to help fund my food addiction. DM for details 😂

There is an advancedhookV.dll, is that what you meant?

I apologize, that is what I meant.  What about the ELS VCF folder?  you have that, as well as a sub folder with the VCFs?

Just wanted to throw in that I am having the same issue as OP.  I've also tried everything that OP has to no avail.

My ELS folder setup:

Grand Theft Auto V\ELS\pack_default

I have the correct .xml files in the "pack_default" folder and they are correctly named.  I have also checked and confirmed that my ELS.ini is pointing to the "pack_default" folder.

I have everything installed correctly per the readme, like I said even with a complete reinstall the issue is still present.

I'm fairly certain the problem is within ELS, because on some cars the normal siren will activate as well s the wig wags, however on other models the siren will not activate and the E key only toggles the stock horn.

It seems like ELS has loaded, since the models are responding like it has, but it is unresponsive in game.
Since then I've unloaded and reloaded LSPDFR in game but to no avail.

I think next I'm going to relocate the VCF's to a new folder and edit the ELS.ini to see if that could be the issue.

Edit: Changing the VCF folder doesn't do anything either.

I somehow fixed it by installing  Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 (x64)  and   .NET Framework 4.6. :D

I had both installed already but I went in and repaired them and ELS.asi still isn't loading.

Did you completely unistall instead of repair? Or did you not have them to begin with?

Before I was playing perfectly fine but recently I just built this PC so I had to reinstall them. I found out about this from the RAGEPluginHook forums. I hope Lt. Caine fixes this soon...

Are you also running scripthookvdotnet.asi

Both that and ELS.asi are failing to load per the log file.

I don't know what I'm missing here. I just reinstalled scripthookVdotnet and it still isn't working.

What else would prevent it from loading?

No idea. Try posting a topic on the GTA5-mods.com forums.

So I went back and downloaded scripthookV again and installed.

I must've had a corrupt file because now it works like a charm.

Thanks for the help and getting me pointed in the right direction!
