Anyone think purchasing these two games was a good idea?

Recommended Posts

I purchased fallout 3 goty and NV goty on my own steam account for a total of 20 dollars on sale, even though my brothers have both games on one account but don't play it much anymore....

I also had modding plans I wanted to do for both of these games after i finished it, which involved mod organizer...I also didn't want to use the games my brothers had on that one account since its saves were transferred from a different os (windows 8.1 to 7) which could cause some issues hence why I thought it was a good idea to buy it so I can start a clean/issue-less game and finish it from there...I also don't want to have the burden to log into the shared account and sometimes ask for their password just in case I forget...

What do you think?

BTW 20 dollars isn't much of a loss and is actually a good deal IMO when buying both of these games

For me, Fallout 3 is an amazing game especially with mods. However NV is a far better game in my opinion and I feel most would agree. I would play Fallout 3 just for the story and I own it, but I just decided to watch a play through and keep playing NV and Fallout 4. However if you bought both and you enjoy both then yeah I'd say it's a good thing.

I never modded them (couldn't as I played them on PS3). But your a fan of 'questing' type games Fallout is a good game. It's like Elder Scrolls expect no magic and it has Guns. I enjoyed play both and loged over around 30 hours each , before the person I borrowed them off took them back

I think Fallout 3 has a better story, whereas New Vegas has much better gameplay variety. Fallout New Vegas is basically the GTA San Andreas of Fallout games.

But is it still worth it, even when I have to start over, and even in the situation of my brothers already having the game and such on their steam account?

Well you bought it already, ask yourself that question.

The games are really good, both of them. Mods can enhance the games even further. One thing to note is that both games were developed for Windows Vista iirc, you may have trouble getting them to run smoothly on your PC. Since they're both 32-bit games, they cannot use all your RAM either.

Invenio, Investigatio, Imperium
