Hi all i like to know what is the best to buy for the game GTA 5? 1 is CD 2 stream?

Steam version. U cant mod the rock star version.

That's just simply false. You can mod both versions just fine.

I had the rockstar version for a time and I was never able to mod it

Both versions can be modded, you probably were doing something wrong :)

It really depends on your personal preference, with the retail version you have to bother with the whole installation but you are safe from downloading the 65+GB of data if you need to reinstall the game for a reason or another, with the Steam version you won't have to bother with 7 installation DVDs and the box coming with it but if you need to reinstall the game you'll have to redownload everything again, and 65GB can be pretty long for some people :)

so some of you guys saying that steam is the best way so i can play LCPDFR and is it safe to play online with friends too

Yes you can, I've done it. Both of them are Rockstar also, they're just released at different places.

There's no real "best way" in my opinion. And you won't be able to play LSPDFR online on the official online GTA  servers, or you'll get banned, no matter the version of the game you get :)

I would defiantly recommend steam, with steam if you accidentally delete something thats not backed up you can verify integrity of game cache and it will add missing files. Im NOT sure but on disc do you have to reinstall the game to get something back you deleted? Unless you backed up all your stuff.

This can also be done with the rockstar version :)

 

Its just what you prefer. If your internet speed is low I would prefer the cd version. Is your internet fast you can get the steam version. If you want to install mods there is no different between the both.
