Is this happening to you right after you start LCPD:FR and go on duty? Because it does that to me...even when I have the regular pistol, going on duty will force me to equip the Desert Eagle instead. I just use SNT to get back my regular pistol. I think this is a bug with LCPD:FR and the way it handles the taser, because it did not happen in 0.95 Beta 1 but is happening in 0.95 RC2.

If not, I'm not sure why your weapon is switching on its own. I've never experienced that, as the game always saves the last weapons I have equipped.

Sometimes,I want to pull out my taser when the suicidal suspect freaks out,it either gives me a desert eagle,or "An exception has occurred in LCPD:FR" and nothing comes out.Then BANG! And I'm dead.Its a "FU--" moment.

Anyways,I'd like to automatically have .44,as I change it intentionally after going on-duty.

Yes, it did work before, but the developers broke it when they introduced the separate taser. It works perfectly on LCPD:FR 0.95 Beta 1.

Yes, I know. I'm saying the Desert Eagle comes up because I'm playing on GTA IV. I assumed the same thing happens for EFLC, give or take a different weapon. Bottom line is that this is a bug due to LCPD:FR 0.95 RC2 that was introduced when the separate taser mod was also introduced. The moment you go on duty and choose your cop ped, you will automatically be given a pistol that's different from the normal one and also automatically hold the baseball bat.

Sadly, the switch by this "bug" does not also give it infinite ammo. I have my SNT set to full ammo as default so that I don't have to always go to the trunk to get more (but I have still set it to reduce bullets as I shoot to maintain having to reload so I'm not at an advantage ). So even though it does switches to the gun I want, I still have to open my SNT and select the Desert Eagle once again for it to have infinite ammo.

I refrain for using SNT,for that matter...er...for any matter.Because I'm having two traffic mods installed and traffic mods (though a tiny bit),tend to conflict with SNT,hence increasing the chances of a crash.
