GTA V crashes every time when installing mods

Featured Replies

Almost everytime I try to install a mod, GTA V crashes, either at startup or after going on duty.

How do I fix this? It is very annoying!

Thanks,

By making sure your RPH and scripthook are up to date, and by installing the mods you want at the right locations, following the readme files modders kindly provide. If it crashes, that means you're doing something wrong :)

When installing vehicle mods, some readme files may be out of date. If you're installing a vehicle mod, make sure to put it in the most recent update folder (which at this time is Patchday12). You can still place the .meta files wherever you want.

When installing scripts and plugins, make sure that scripts go in your scripts folder and plugins go in your plugins folder. If something is a plugin that adds on to LSPDFR, such as Custom Backup or Assorted Callouts, those files have to go into the LSPDFR folder inside of your plugins folder.

I don't understand the point of signatures on this site. What the fuck is the point?

@Arariel despite using that, nothing I do works

READ THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE MODS..THEY'RE CALLED READMEs   AKA read me for a reason

lspdfr plugin or GTA V crashed? find your Rage log in your gta folder, usually found after ragepluginhook.exe and open it, hit Ctrl a, open pastebin.com, select new paste, hit Ctrl v, get the link after you pasted it and supply that with your issue in the specific mod topic, it helps the developer diagnose the problem you may have.

Add-on/standalone cars need a meta and carvariations.  You can't just put in the vehicle files and they work. :)  A lot of the standalone cars come with their own vehicle meta and carvar.  If they don't, take the meta and cavar from a similar vehicle.  If it's a police vehicle, take either police, police 2, police 3, or sheriff2 meta and use that.

I need donations to help fund my food addiction. DM for details 😂

the carvariations and vehicles meta are IN the DLC rpf just like a normal rockstar update.. I think youre confusing these to replacement cars.. they arent they are "ADD-ON"

DLC structure

all data type files:

vehicles for use

any needed vehicle mods

as you can see there are no files for me to change, edit, or place anywhere else.

Where is what located?

I was talking about where patchday12ng was located, I've found it now.

Where would I install this mod? In vehicles.rpf or patchday12ng?
