Lights messed up after new carvariations..

So I just installed the carvariations for the new Coast Guard boat by SkylineGRTFreak which works great, that also made some of the add-on vehicles lights work that did not once before somehow.... but it also completely messed up the lights on my firetruck and police3 slot. Obviously its something to do with the carvariations entry but why would it cancel the other two slot's settings? I have also tried setting the firetruck and police3 back to what they were which then messes up the other vehicle's lights and so on and so forth....

Seeing as the carvar for a lot of these vehicles are hard coded into the game, you're going to need to paste a new carvar line for them somewhere. (I suggest mpchristmas2 or mpluxe2).

 

I haven't used his CG boat, so no clue how his carvar interacts with the other.  Can you explain how his cavar set up works, or just link to it?

Did you drag and drop the carvariations.metas? If so, this is sure to break your other vehicles, because what happens is the carvariations you dropped in replaces the current one. This is why when you add new carvariations, you drag the one in openiv to the desktop, open the new modded one, and put in the part of the new carvariations into the old one, that way it doesnt replace anything.

If you did erase over that whole carvar, I advise going into the vanilla files in OpenIV, extracting the carvar to your desktop, and replacing it.  Then just one by one add the new carvar lines.  It'll be easier.
