REL: CCPD WILLARD MARBELLE

NON-ELS/ELS MODEL LINK (BOTH USABLE)

The CCPD just dusted off an old classic from 1980 - their Willard Marbelle cruisers. Known for being literally arrestingly luxurious, even with the back seats stripped out, these lasted even up until 2003, when the CCPD could afford to get new cruisers.

Enough spiel, let's get down to it. For one, first American police cruiser livery (!!!), and also, first actually lore-friendly one! Problem is, however, as I will usually be, I am away from home now, so I can't exactly test it out right now, and provide OpenIV screenshots, but here's the texture, based mostly off, or pretty much entirely of the Chicago Police livery, with barely any marks of the Detroit Police cruisers I wanted to base this off of.

I would like to announce that requests for UK police liveries are now OPEN. If you want any UK or Garda police vehicle as a lore-friendly police car, then I can provide, unless it has battenburg markings, then there's a problem.

Please PM me for any requests, and I'll analyse my ability. Images of the liveries would be gladly appreciated.

Just a quick update - there will be a few more releases around about this and next month, then I will stop modding until June. Why? I have my GCSEs coming, and the stress is baring down on me. Also, I need to revise. So modding will be put on hold after I release a few more mods - when I stop will be decided upon the day I release my last mod until June.

For want of status updates... (its been a year now, how can someone not moderate status updates?)

I know it may be a little too soon, but I'm going to update the LVMPD pack. After some consideration, I've noticed it's sub-par to my current standards. It will also act as a sort of tribute to the LVMPD for their bravery and courage shown in the face of this horrible tragedy. Now, 'Going Across the Lines' will have some unique symbolism.

Stay tuned.

Well... it's been a minute.

10214551_LCPDStanierdownscaled.png.cb895f95ffc106e2132530d0d0cd42d4.png

More on this soon.

I think I might need to completely redesign my whole profile. God, some of the cringe I posted...

SITREP:

I'm fully relaunching my mods page for a smaller, better-quality selection of GTA IV mods. In this case, instead of hiding them for preservation, I have now deleted nearly all of my previous British mods, as well as some of my more low-quality mods with dubious legality regarding the use of player-created logos. Only a select few shall eventually remain.

What I intend on doing is now focusing on what I like best - a lore-friendly classic New York experience for GTA IV. I will be revamping all of my old LCPD mods that feature liveries in Grabber Blue to be more high quality, by means of more correct fonts and my trademark 'hyperdetail' I am bringing over from my newfound area of expertise in OMSI 2. Maybe, I hope, I might be able to get something like a proper LCPD Merit Classic rolling. But that all depends on whether I want to work on it and whether I am able to, logos, liveries and fonts withstanding.

My mods are going to be less frequent, and I expect my activity on the website is going to be even less frequent. A lot has changed since my last posts in 2018, especially in my perception of American law enforcement. I'm not planning on letting this spill over into any of my site activity, though, as I'm aware it might be a bit of a contentious issue here.

In short, I'm going quality over quantity now. Expect less frequent, but better-looking content sooner or later.

Hey I'm so sorry to bother you but I'm having some issues when Installing LCPDFR. (I'm new) and when ever I try to launch the game with LCPDFR inside the game files it says this.

---------------------------
Application Error
---------------------------
Exception EFCreateError in module DSOUND.dll at 000116C5.
Cannot create file "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto IV\GTAIV\asilog.txt". The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.

Can you help, if you want to ad my discord it will be cohxann#7987 in case you want to call me and help. If not it's okay.

I'm afraid I have never gotten LCPDFR to work, and even if I did, I probably couldn't help you, either.

A heads-up for those interested - all of my Alderney State Police vehicles (read, Marbelle and Premier) will be withdrawn soon. I hope to replace them with improved, more lore-friendly equivalents as part of a small pack.

Sorry for the very late response - I'm afraid it won't be. The design is too basic and bad for continued upload. Maybe I might instead make a new version based on something else,  such as, say, 1980s Detroit.
