Editing Police Uniforms in Photoshop

Featured Replies

Hey guys I'm wanting to start working on creating Police uniforms I get all the way to photoshop then I dont know how to change the color of the uniform. Is it the same way as changing the colors using paint.net and a car template?

now if i can find the template to the uniforms ill be alright. any tutorials on this Donnzy?

I seen that you used MY EUP how did you change the colors of the uniforms?

theres no real templates apart from the MYEUP stuff, alot of it is guess work trying and trying different things, and alot of reloading the game to check it again

then theres editing specmaps and all that jazz to add extra details or different details but getting there just makes it complicated

best way i have found to learn is download other peoples peds and open them in openiv and compare the texture files to the model and see where stuff lines up and how others have done it

If you only want to change the color of the uniform, what I did is add layers that manipulate the existing colors. In Photoshop, I can see two ways of doing this:

Either create a new adjustment layer for hue/saturation, subtract the parts you don't want to color from the mask (such as badges, boots, the undershirt etc)
or duplicate the layer, alter curves on the R, G and B channels and delete the parts you don't want to color from the altered layer

Customization is key to my gaming experience. I take pictures, do textures and lore-friendly vehicles.
