The built-in mouse on my laptop keeps cutting in and out. I'll be dragging across the the screen to click something, then the mouse will stop moving, and it takes about 3 seconds to begin moving again. This issue is annoying the crap out of me. Can anyone help?

I don't understand the point of signatures on this site. What the fuck is the point?

    Try reinstalling the synaptic drivers from their website. You'll need to know if it's a PS/2 or I2C pointing device, can be found in the device manager.
