Error with loader.

Featured Replies

I always get the same issue when I load into the game. There is always a issue and a error with the 'LCPDFR_loader.loader!'

I have tried everything in the list the staff send when you have this issue. I automatically installed it.

Hello there -- welcome to LCPDFR.com and thanks for trying out LCPDFR!

Please do the following:

  • Make sure you aren't using a crack - We don't support cracks or people using pirated software
  • Update GTA IV to 1.0.7.0 (the latest version of the game, or 1.1.2.0 for EFLC) - These patches are needed.
  • Make sure that you run the game as an administrator.
  • Make sure that your GTA IV root folder (and every subdirectory) is not set to "read-only"
  • Ensure that AdvancedHook.dll, ScriptHook.dll, ScriptHookDotNet.asi and Dsound.dll OR Xlive.dll are in the GTA IV ROOT folder
  • Ensure that there is a folder titled 'LCPDFR' in the ROOT GTA IV folder.
  • Check that all the above files exist, if they do not, reinstall LCPDFR with the MANUAL installation.
  • Ensure that you are using up to date versions of every LCPDFR dependency and LCPDFR itself.
  • Install these: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30653 , https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30679

In some cases, your issue is resolved after following the above steps. If it did help, please let everyone know in the topic that your issue is resolved. If you do have to post a topic, do the following;

  • Give a clear, detailed description of the problem.
  • Explain any circumstances surrounding the problem.
  • State what solutions you have tried.
  • Post ALL relevant logs (LCPDFR.log, Scripthook.log, ScriptHookDotNet.log, AdvancedHook.log).
  • Include as much information as possible.
  • Post your system specifications.
  • Post what other mods you are using. This includes car and script mods.
  • Post a screenshot of your GTA IV or EFLC game directory.

Please note that failure to follow these instructions may cause this thread to be closed.

So is the log okay? The '3D device' is fine going lost?

Checklist: Bought game off steam; lastest versions; I am a admin and I always launch it as admin to be sure; not read only; the files are there; yes that folder is there; dependency? I guess all of that is up to date. Downloaded it yesterday; I installed them yesterday

It can't load Advanced Hook or one of its dependencies for some reason. Try reinstalling LCPDFR.

Still does not work after reinstall. So either its AdvancedHook.dll (which is there) or one of the dependencies. What are these  dependencies and how can I check if they are there? And does the 3D device get lost because of the AdvancedHook thing no being able to load?

Well I did install 'Simple Native Trainer v6.5', however LCPDFR was still getting the  loader.loader erro before I had it. Also I swapped out the Police and Police2 slots with different models.

And what mods were installed before you installed the SNT 6.5?

Yup and the same log.

I think it's basic you have the original game and not a pirated version of it, so your game probably updated to the latest, and if you try reinstall the LCPDFR manually?

Any easy guides for manual installation?

No, that's just because i use winrar not zip, if you installed and started the LCPDFR you still get the message?

Yeh. And I was looking at the official guide and it said about the ASI folder thing having to be there...

Is the rar file the same way you install the zip by any chance. I use winrar and that could've been the mess up
